Mobile Application Developer
Overview
Ford Credit's customer-facing mobile application helps clients manage financing, payments, and account workflows on iOS and Android. I joined during a major platform transition and was a core contributor to the move from React Native to native Swift and Kotlin, working with a large distributed team to improve security by removing a Backend-for-Frontend layer and standardizing on GraphQL.
On iOS, I build and ship production features, lead analytics architecture (including a custom Adobe SDK wrapper), and collaborate with product, design, QA, and backend teams across time zones. The codebase is proprietary, but the work spans authentication, payments, vehicle valuation, trade-in flows, and DocuSign integrations using MVVM.
Highlights
- • Played a key role in the React Native → native Swift/Kotlin migration, including GraphQL adoption and removing a Backend-for-Frontend layer.
- • Shipped high-impact features: authentication, onboarding, payments, transaction history, vehicle valuation, trade-in, and DocuSign payoff workflows.
- • Lead iOS analytics architecture with a custom Adobe SDK wrapper; technical lead for validating instrumentation across the engineering org.
- • Implemented Apollo GraphQL on iOS and partnered with backend teams to optimize queries, mutations, and auth patterns.
- • One of two local iOS developers on a distributed team; contributed technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship.
- • Proprietary codebase; source and implementation details are not publicly available.
